SALISBURY - Ruth M. Willing passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jun. 28, 2017, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born on Feb. 14, 1927, in Willards, she was the daughter of late Lloyd Dennis and Carrie Mitchell Whitelock. Willing was a longtime member of the Salisbury Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She worked with her husband for many years at his plumbing supply business and enjoyed bowiling. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, C. Rex Willing; a daughter, Jackie R. Collins; a son, Rex C. Willing; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Edward Willing, who died in 2012; four brothers, Mitchell, Richard, Alton and Lloyd Dennis Jr.; and one sister, Naomi "Sis" Hitch. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Jul. 5, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Entombment was in Wicomico Memorial Park.
