MILLSBORO - Roy Donald Young, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Anchorage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury. Born in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles Young and Gloria Davis Young. He worked many years as a truck driver and later a truck mechanic. He was passionate in helping others through the AA program by speaking at meetings and providing transportation to Baltimore. He enjoyed his volunteer work at the Second Wind Home in Salisbury. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma Lee Boston Young; three daughters, Peggy Ann Elliott of Colorado, Sharon Lee Smith of Colorado and Susan Kay Ayers of Millsboro; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Seeback of Georgetown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sons, Richard Donald Young, Michael Young, John Andrew Young and James Albert Young; and one brother, Tommy Young. A funeral service was Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was Mardela Memorial Cemetery in Mardela Springs.
