SALISBURY - Rosida C. Soriano died at her home on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Born in Walterboro, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Irby and Audrey Koger. After graduating valedictorian of St. John's High School, she continued her education at the School of Nursing of the Medical College of South Carolina. Soon after, she attended the Case Western Reserve where she became an Emergency Room nurse. She and Dr. Jose Soriano were married for 45 years. She left her nursing career to raise their five children. She is survived by three sons, Wayne Soriano, Michael Soriano and Phillip Soriano; a daughter, Carolyn Soriano-Verhagen; two grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jose D. Soriano; a son, Joseph Soriano; and a brother, Carl Koger. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, April 19, 2018, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. Burial was in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
