BEAR, Del. - Ronald Bernard "Tank" Fisher, 55, formerly of Vienna, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at his home.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Winfield Fisher Sr. and Jeanette Jones Fisher of Bear, Del.
He was a 1970 graduate of North Dorchester High School. Upon graduation he became employed as a truck driver with the family business, W. C. Fisher and Sons of Bear, Del. He was also formerly employed with William Turner Trucking Co. and Shawnee Homes of Salisbury.
Mr. Fisher was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna and transferred his membership to Dale United Methodist Church in Middletown, Del.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Silvia; three sons: Derrick, Kevin and Ronald Jr.; three grandchildren: Tashauen, Skylear and Uriah Fisher, all of Newark, Del.; mother-in-law, Frances Jackson-Robinson of Cambridge; three brothers: Emerson Jones and wife, Rosalind of Hurlock, Winfield Fisher Jr. and wife, Mildred of Salisbury and Kenneth Fisher and wife, Veda of Newark, Del.; one sister: Dianne Taylor and husband, Melvin of Snow Hill; two brothers-in-law: Melvin Nichols and Lionell Jackson and wife, Jackie, both of Mardela Springs; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul AME Zion Church, 410 Delaware Ave. in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
Friends may also call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Dale's United Methodist Church 143 E. Lake Street - Middletown, Del. 19709.
Services are entrusted to Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury.
