BROOKVIEW - Robert Adams Marine, 79, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del.

Born in Brookview on Aug. 18, 1927 he was the son of the late Wilbur and Daisey Lord Marine.

Mr. Marine attended Hurlock High School and joined the United States Army serving his country during World War II.

He worked for the Clifton T. Perkins Hospital and later the Eastern Shore State Hospital in Cambridge, from which he retired.

Mr. Marine was an avid horseman and was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Wayne Marine of Laurel, Del., and William C. Marine of Federalsburg, and by one brother, John Marine of Georgetown, Del.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marine, who passed away in 2000 and by a brother, Lloyd Marine, who passed away in 1989.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Williamson Funeral Home in Federalsburg, with the Rev. Philip Patchett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour preceding the service. Burial will take place at the Maryland Veterans" Cemetery of the Eastern Shore at Beulah.
