Tangier Island - Rita Johanna Dize went to be with the Lord on Thurs., May 28, 2015 from her home. Born Jul. 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Lucretia Fasano Fanto. Her husband, Earl Franklin Dize, preceded her in death in 1991. A retired insurance claims auditor, she was a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Prayer Band. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Sun., May 31, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at Swain Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Flood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Swain Memorial U. M. Church, Tangier, VA 23440 or David B. Nichols Health Center, Tangier, VA 23440.
