CAMBRIDGE - Richard "Rick" W. Hinkle passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke. He was born in Baltimore on October 21, 1947 and was a son of the late Wayne Hinkle and Katherine Gregg Christopher and step father Jack Christopher.
Mr. Hinkle graduated from Kenwood Senior High School in Baltimore. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969. Mr. Hinkle worked as a retirement consultant for Nationwide Insurance Company and later with Prudential Insurance Company. On August 28, 2003, he married Qiuling Lu. Mr. Hinkle enjoyed sailing, and playing golf. He also loved to travel. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the American Legion Post #91.
He is survived by his wife, Qiuling Lu; a step daughter, Michelle Lu; a step sister, Katie Mitchell; and three step brothers, Billy Christopher, David Christopher and Gary Christopher.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
