Richard Maurice Rich Jr.

CAMBRIDGE - Richard Maurice Rich Jr., of Cambridge, 57, loving known as "Richard, Jr." or "BUB" was the son of the late Alfreda and Richard Rich, Sr. He was born in Denton, on April 11, 1953. and departed this life on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, Easton. He graduated in 1971 from North Carline High School. Then he enlisted in the United State Air Force, he received an honorable discharge. On April 22, 1972, he married Lenita Smith; from this union one son Richard Maurice Rich III was born. After retuning to Caroline County, he worked at Black & Decker, Easton, Maryland and Dorchester Community Development Corporation in Cambridge. Richard was a star athlete; he played basketball and football for North Caroline High School. Richard also liked to read the bible and watch different types of sports. Rich leaves to mourn five children, Richard III (Otasia), Demond (Amy), Toccara, Adrian, Rayshawn; three sisters, Angela, Brenda, Cheryl (Chris); one brother, Brian Rich; four grandchildren; two uncles, Robert Rich (Valarie) of Philadelphia, and Raymond Fountain of Chester, Pa.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a very special friend Brenda Fields of Cambridge, Md. In addition to his parents, one grandchild preceded him in death. Funeral Services were noon, Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, with a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon at Bethel United Methodist Church, Denton, Md. All services are entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home Easton, Md.
