Retired MSP commander endorses Rick Taylor for sheriff

Posted

I believe that Somerset County has found a leader to bring about the much needed change to the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.  That change is candidate for Sheriff, Rick Taylor.

As a resident of Somerset County, and retired Captain, Commander, Maryland State Police Eastern Troop, I have seen first-hand the need for an experienced law enforcement official to lead the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.  As a husband, and father of 4 boys, that we are raising in Somerset County, I want it to be the safest county in the State of Maryland.  I want to know that when my boys go out to meet with friends, travel the roads, and go to school in Somerset County — that they will be safe.

Rick Taylor is a law enforcement leader who can make Somerset county a safer place to live.  I have known and worked with Rick Taylor for over 20 years.  Rick has lived in Somerset County for many years and has served as the Maryland State Police, Princess Anne Assistant Barrack Commander.  Rick has a wealth of experience in managing law enforcement personnel, investigating crime, and working with people.  Rick has the proven integrity, leadership abilities, experience, vision, and drive to lead the outstanding men and women of the Somerset County Sheriff's Office.

Rick is an affective communicator who can bring together citizens, business leaders, and law enforcement agencies in Somerset County to combat crime.  Rick Taylor is the right person to choose as your next Somerset County Sheriff."

I wish Rick Taylor the best of luck as he pursues his goal as Sheriff for Somerset County. He will make a great Sheriff!
