Raul Diaz, 61 COPPELL, Texas - Raul Diaz, age 61, of Coppell, Texas, passed away, March 19, 2010. He was born May 24, 1948, in Camaguey, Cuba, to Eloy and Lorenza Diaz. He married Kym Ford June 21, 1980, in Richmond, Va. Dr. Diaz received his medical degree from the University of Zaragoza, Spain in 1975 and completed post-graduate training at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md., Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and Urology Residency at the Medical College of Virginia in 1982. Post residency, Dr. Diaz practiced Urology in Miami, Fla., and Cambridge, Md., before joining Texas Urology in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kym Diaz; daughters, Lindsay and Rachel Diaz; son, Jordan Diaz; brother, Ralph Diaz, wife Letty and sons Elliott and Adrian; father, Eloy Diaz. He was preceded in death by mother, Lorenza Diaz y Hermilla. Surviving aunts, uncles and cousins include Felo and Nereida Hermilla of Hollywood, Fla., Leovi and Marta Hermilla and children Marta, Beatrice and Bernardo of San Juan, PR, Nelson Hermilla, Esq of Tacoma Park, Md. Beatrice Hicks, Mirta Mayor and Daisy Luaces of Miami, Fla., and several lifelong Cuban-American friends from medical school in Spain.
