CRISFIELD - Randall Stanley Justice, 78, of Crisfield, passed away quietly on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home, in Crisfield, with his family at his side. Born in Crisfield on Jan. 5, 1932, he was a son of the late John T. and Ethel K. Parks Justice. His second wife, Lois G. Justice, preceded him in death April 22, 2008. Randy was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Army Reserves retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He also worked for the City of Crisfield and Mrs. Paul's Kitchens before settling in at Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield where he worked from 1971 until his retirement in 1994. Most of his co-workers affectionately called him "Shorty." Randy was an active member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044 holding every office and serving as Exalted Ruler for two terms. He was also an active member of the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion where he proudly served as Adjutant. He was also a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a step-son, J. Louis Gundling. He is survived by three brothers, Harry Lee Justice of Cali., his twin brother, Ralph S. Justice, Sr., of Crisfield, and Rev. Arthur Justice and his wife Arlene of North East; two daughters, Ruth Ellen Sterling and her husband Steve of Crisfield, and Terri Lynn Justice of Princess Anne; a son, John Charles Justice of Fruitland; his step-daughter and caregiver, Jennifer G. Landon and her husband Bunk of Crisfield; a special aunt, Lucy Sommers of Crisfield; six grandsons, three granddaughters, three step-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Crisfield where friends called one hour prior. Services were officiated by The Rev. Charles Jacobson and an Elks Memorial Service was conducted by the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044. Interment was 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Elks National Foundation, c/o Elks Lodge #1044, P.O. Box 307 or American Legion Post #16, P.O. Box 126, both Crisfield, MD 21817.
