PRINCESS ANNE — The Princess Anne Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests.

 

  • On 7-16-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Melvin Louis Whitlor, 58, of Princess Anne, Maryland for first degree assault. The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance located at 30772 Antioch Avenue.  Whitlor was charged with assault 1st degree, assault 2nd degree, and reckless endangerment.  Whitlor was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 bond.  Whitlor was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

 

  • On 7-14-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Naquan Rommel Jones, 21, of Princess Anne, Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant. The bench warrant was for failure to appear in court and Jones was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $20,000.00 bond.  Jones was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

 

  • On 7-13-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Michael Lamar Handy, 47, of Princess Anne, Maryland in reference to an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court. Handy was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $10,000.00 unsecure bond.

 

  • On 7-11-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Charles Alex Showell Jr., 49, of Princess Anne, Maryland and Kira Lashon Jones, 24, of Princess Anne, Maryland for assault second degree. The arrests stemmed from a domestic dispute complaint at 11785 Beechwood Street.  Both Showell Jr. and Jones were charged with assault 2nd degree and were seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued $5,000.00 unsecure bonds.
