Princess Anne Police report several incidents and arrests

PRINCESS ANNE — Princess Anne Police Chief Timothy Bozman posts the following incidents and arrests.

 

  • On 3-5-17, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Clarence Lamont Jones, Jr., 29, of Princess Anne, Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Jones Jr., was found to be the operator.  Jones Jr., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol per se, driving while impaired, fail to stop at steady red signal, fail to stop at stop line, fail to yield right of way to another vehicle in intersection, negligent driving, fail to drive on right half of roadway, fail to display registration card, fail to drive to curb upon signal of police vehicle, fail to display license, driving without a license, and attempting to elude police vehicle by failure to stop.  Jones Jr. was subsequently released from custody upon being issued his citations.

 

  • On 3-4-17, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Ahmed Khalid Ahmad Ibr Elsayed, 19, of Salisbury, Maryland with possession of marijuana under 10 grams.  The charge stemmed from officers locating suspected marijuana during a traffic stop where Elsayed was the operator.  Elsayed was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana under 10 grams and subsequently released from custody.

 

  • On 3-2-17, the Princess Anne Police Department served Maurice Mckinley Turner III, 24, of Princess Anne, Maryland with an outstanding District Court bench warrant for failure to appear.  Turner III, was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $25,000.00 unsecure bond.  Turner III, was subsequently released from custody.

 

  • On 2-27-17, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Willis Trent Cottman, 56, of Princess Anne, Maryland for driving under the influence of alcohol.  The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop where Cottman was found to be the operator.  Cottman was charged with fail to drive on right half of roadway, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol per se, driving while impaired, negligent driving, fail to display license, driving without a license, driving on a suspended license, driving on a revoked license, and attempting to elude police vehicle by failing to stop.  Cottman was released from custody upon being issued his citations.

 

  • On 2-27-17, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Cameron Colby Cottingham, 29, of Princess Anne, Maryland with failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order.  The charge stemmed from a complaint at the Food Lion store located at 12158 Brittingham Lane.  Cottingham was issued a criminal citation and subsequently released from custody.
