Princess Anne Police report recent arrests and citations

PRINCESS ANNE — The Princess Anne Police Department posts the following incidents and arrests.

 

  • On 11-28-15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Richard Lee Belote, Jr., 38, of Pocomoke City, Maryland for an outstanding District Court Arrest Warrant from Worcester County. The warrant charged Belote Jr. with theft less than $100.00.       Belote Jr. was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released Belote Jr. on $5,000.00 unsecure bond.

 

  • On 11-28-15, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Bertha Olive Mccullough, 52, of Princess Anne Maryland with a liquor law violation. The charge stemmed from an officer observing Mccullough with an open container of alcohol on Somerset Avenue near Prince William Street. Mccullough was issued a citation and released from the scene.

 

  • On 11-27-15, the Princess Anne Police Department initiated a tobacco compliance operation within the town limits of Princess Anne. There were a total of eight businesses that were checked for compliance. The following stores were found to be in violation where a tobacco product was sold to a person under the age of 18: Royal Farms located on Mt. Vernon Road, Kash and Karry located on Somerset Avenue, and Goose Creek Market located on Mt. Vernon Road.       The clerks who sold the products were cited with a criminal citation.

 

  • On 11-26-15, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Timmie Fletcher Lankford, 52, of Pittsville Maryland for assault 1st degree.       The arrest stemmed from an altercation that occurred at 30479 Prince William Street. Lankford was charged with assault 1st and 2nd degree, failure to stop vehicle at scene of accident involving bodily injury, failure to immediately return and remain at scene of accident involving bodily injury, negligent driving, failure to control vehicle speed to avoid collision, and driving vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed. Lankford was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $50,000.00 bond. Lankford was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.
