Princess Anne Police post latest incidents and arrests

PRINCESS ANNE — Princess Anne Police Chief Tim Bozman announces the following incidents and arrests.

 

  • On 9-22-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Jayquan Demarcus Ayers, 19, of Hallwood, Virginia for attempted first degree murder.  The arrest stemmed from a fight that occurred in the Manokin Park where Ayers fired a revolver towards the victim.  Ayers was charged with attempted 1st degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, 2 counts of assault 1st degree, 2 counts of assault 2nd degree, handgun on person, firearm use/felony violent crime, and disorderly conduct. Ayers was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued no bond.  Ayers was released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

 

  • On 9-19-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Joel Thomas Collins, 50, of Princess Anne, Maryland for an outstanding District Court arrest warrant.  The arrest warrant charged Collins with failure to comply with a peace order, assault 2nd degree, and malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00 from an incident that occurred on 8-17-16.  Collins was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $15,000.00 unsecured bond.

 

  • On 9-19-16, the Princess Anne Police Department served Chris Dennis Smith Jr., 24, of Capitol Heights, Maryland with an outstanding District Court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged Smith Jr. with 2 counts of issuing false documents, 2 counts of forgery-priv documents, 3 counts of theft less than $1,000.00, 2 counts of identity fraud under $1,000.00, and rogue and vagabond from an incident that occurred on 5-28-16.  Smith Jr. was released from custody upon being issued his copies of the criminal summons.

 

  • On 9-16-16, the Princess Anne Police Department served Crystal Tynell Brinson, 35, of Princess Anne, Maryland with an outstanding District Court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged Brinson with credit card theft, theft less than $1,000.00, cred crd-personatn/l/t $1,000.00, and identity fraud under $1,000.00 from an incident that occurred in August 2016.  Brinson was released from custody upon being issued her copies of the criminal summons.
