Princess Anne Police looking for robber of Royal Farms

PRINCESS ANNE — The Princess Anne Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Dec. 18, 2016 at the Royal Farms store, located at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road during the early morning hours.

The suspect entered the store dressed in a dark colored hoodie with black jogging pants with possible gray stripes, and wearing a blue mask or scarf covering most of his face. The suspect is approximately 5’7” and 200 lbs.

The suspect displayed a box cutter style knife and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled the store on foot heading west towards Route 13 with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators are seeking information concerning this robbery. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call investigators at the Princess Anne Police Department at 410-651-1822 or Crime Solvers of the Lower Eastern Shore at 410-548-1776 where rewards are available for tips that lead to an arrest. In other reports from the PAPD:

  • On 12-17-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Toi Courtney Joynes, 31, of Salisbury, Maryland for malicious destruction of property and trespassing.  The arrest stemmed from a complaint at 30530 Pine Knoll Drive where Joynes was charged with two counts of trespassing on private property, one count of trespassing on posted property, malicious destruction of property under $1,000.00, fail to obey a reasonable and lawful order, dangerous weapon-conceal, assault second degree, and disorderly conduct.  Joynes was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $250,000.00 bond.  Joynes was subsequently released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

  • On 12-16-16, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Terry Lee Tucker, 45, of Princess Anne, Maryland for assault second degree.  The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance located at 11542 Somerset Avenue.  Tucker was charged with assault 2nd degree and was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $15,000.00 bond.  Tucker was subsequently released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.

  • On 12-15-16, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Bruce Edward Harris, 56, of Chance, Maryland with theft less than $100.00.  The charge stemmed from a theft complaint at the Dollar General store, located at 30371 Mt. Vernon Road where Harris was observed removing merchandise from the store without paying for the merchandise.  Harris was issued a criminal citation for theft less than $100.00.
