Princess Anne Police announce latest incidents and arrests

PRINCESS ANNE — Princess Anne Police Chief Tim Bozman releases the following recent incidents and arrests.

 

  • On 2-5-17, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Genesis Milan Smith, 18, of Washington, DC with possession of marijuana under 10 grams.  The charge stemmed from a traffic stop where Smith was found to be in possession of marijuana.  Smith was issued a civil citation for possession of marijuana under 10 grams.

 

  • On 2-3-17, the Princess Anne Police Department charged Shamont Matthew Waters, 20, of Baltimore, Maryland with malicious destruction of property less than $1,000.00.  The charge stemmed from an officer observing Waters firing a CO2 powered BB gun out of a vehicle at the exit of the Arden’s Run apartment complex located off of UMES Boulevard.  Several of the BB’s struck a stop sign causing damage.  Waters was issued a criminal citation for malicious destruction of property less than $1,000.

 

  • On 2-2-17, the Princess Anne Police Department served Liza Monique White, 34, of Princess Anne, Maryland with an outstanding District Court criminal summons.  The criminal summons charged White with assault second degree in reference to an incident that occurred on 1-18-17 at 30615 Pine Knoll Drive.  White was subsequently released from custody upon being issued her copy of the criminal summons.

 

  • On 1-30-17, the Princess Anne Police Department arrested Darryl Antonio Merrill, 24, of Princess Anne, Maryland for assault first degree.  The arrest stemmed from an assault complaint that occurred at 30517 Antioch Avenue.  Merrill was charged with assault first degree, assault second degree, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, and resisting arrest.  Merrill was seen by a District Court Commissioner who issued a $50,000.00 bond.  Merrill was subsequently released into the custody of the Somerset County Detention Center.
