Paul Richard Forester passed away peacefully at home on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born October 20, 1928, he was the son of the late Darly Lee and Sarah Kay Forester.
Paul served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Hospital Apprentice First Class. After working as a Fish and Game Warden, he was employed by the State of Maryland, serving the Parole and Probation division as the Chief of Regional Field Operations for the nine lower shore counties. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved sports, especially basketball which he played in his youth.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by two siblings, James Forester and Fay Dennis.
Paul is survived by his children, Melinda Long (Rodney), Barry Forester, and Brian Forester; his granddaughter Sheila Melson and his grandson Tyler Long, whom he thought the world of; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb Hill and Haileigh Mitchell.
A visitation will take place Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 6:00pm at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury, MD. A graveside service will take place Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00am at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
