Paul Henry Weber, 63 CAMBRIDGE - Paul Henry Weber, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010, at his home, after a lengthy illness. He was 63. He was born in Cambridge September 2, 1946, and was a son of the late Ernest Weber and Mona Cook Weber Cox. Paul graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army, where he completed a Tour of Duty in Vietnam. On February 25, 1985, he married the former Deborah Christopher. Paul had worked for the Delmarva Power Plant in Vienna for 35 years. Among other things, Paul was an avid hunter who liked to fish and crab. He was an animal lover who trained hunting dogs and adored all of the many cats he owned or rescued over the years. Paul was an accomplished cook who loved growing much of his own food in a home garden. He was a family man who enjoyed taking his children swimming and vacationing. In his later years, Paul appreciated spending quiet time alone. Paul is survived by his wife, Deborah Christopher Weber of Cambridge; three children, Paul Jason Weber of Logan, Utah, Jeremy Michael Weber of Cambridge, and Robert Henry Burton III of East New Market; two grandchildren, Carson Weber and Samuel Weber; a brother, Ernest Weber of Salisbury; a sister, Linda Jackson of Chester; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved in-laws, with whom he enjoyed spending time. A funeral service was 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, with Mr. James Dayton officiating. Family received friends one hour prior to the service. Burial followed at Dorchester Memorial Park. Pallbearers were William Christopher, Michael Christopher, Edward Pridgen, James Dayton, George Wright Jr., David Glover, Richard Parks, and Steve Jarman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Paul's name to the American Cancer Society, c/o Doris Weber, 5163 Maple Dam Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
