SALISBURY - Norman Gene "Mickey" Whitelock, 69, of Salisbury, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Norman and Evelyn Whitelock, and his step-mother Clara Belle Whitelock, who helped raise him after his mother passed away. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Campbell Soup Co. in Salisbury for 22 years, and continued working in sales until retirement. He was a member of the Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury and served as a Boy Scout Master. He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Whitelock; four children, Gene Whitelock, Lori Gilliss, Cheryl Bosley and Brian Whitelock; 11 grandchildren; brothers; Ronnie and David Whitelock; a sister, Susan Flanagan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl. A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
