CAMBRIDGE - Norma J. Deichert, 80, of Cambridge and of Latrobe, Pa, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Mallard Bay Care Center.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1927 ,in Cresson, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen Neilson Klemsteine.
Mrs. Deichert graduated from Cresson High School and had attended business school. In April 1948 she married Harold Deichert who passed away on April 26, 1993.
She was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies were bowling, playing gin rummy and knitting. She was a member of the Latrobe Civic Club and volunteered at Latrobe Area Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Deichert is survived by two sons, David Deichert and wife, Susan of Cambridge, and Thomas Deichert and wife, Denise of Latrobe, Pa.; a daughter, Denise Kane of Latrobe, Pa.; three grandsons, Jason Kane, Matthew Kane, Brett Deichert; two granddaughters, Christie Deichert, Allie Deichert; a brother, Charles Klemsteine of Delaware and a niece, Leslie Lattener of Pittsburgh.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Lattener.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
