SEAFORD - Naomi L. Dickerson, of Seaford, formerly of Cambridge, Md., passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Methodist Manor House, Seaford. She was 90. She was born in Baltimore on June 25, 1918, and was a daughter of the late Riche L. and Elsie Messick Dickerson. Miss Dickerson graduated high school in Baltimore City. She worked for Social Security and was a senior program analyst. From 1978 until 2003 she was a resident of Cambridge and moved to Seaford in 2003 until her passing. She enjoyed playing bridge. Miss Dickerson was a volunteer at Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary and was an accountant for the Robin Hood Shop. She was a member of Cambridge Yacht Club, Minerva Chapter 50, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She is survived by two nephews, Peter Fisher of Fairfax, Va., and Michael Fisher of Asheville, N.C. Besides her parents, Miss Dickerson was preceded in death by two brothers, William Dickerson and David Dickerson; and a sister, Doris Dickerson Fisher. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Tyaskin Church Cemetery with Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613; or to the Robin Hood Shop, 416 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
