
CRISFIELD - Nancy Sue Ward passed away on Tuesday, Apr. 11, 2017, at her home.
Born in Crisfield on Jan. 31, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Milton E. Ward and Kathryn McDorman Ward Goldsborough. She had been making her home in Baltimore since 1953 and moved back to her hometown of Crisfield in 1997.
A graduate of Crisfield High School Class of 1949, she was retired from the State of Maryland Department of Licensing where she worked for 30 years before her retirement.
A member of Asbury United Methodist Church, she was an avid animal lover and enjoyed having fun. She was a very giving person who loved going out with her family and especially adored her nephews.
She is survived by her brother, M. William "Bill" Ward and wife, Argene, of Crisfield; her nephew, Keith B. Ward and wife, Courtney, of Crisfield; and three great-nephews, Ross Bloodsworth, of Woodbridge, Va., John David Perdue, of Salisbury, and Kash Ward, of Crisfield;
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ward Bloodsworth; and two nephews, Charles Mickey Bloodsworth and William Glenn Ward.
A funeral service was held Friday, Apr. 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where friends called one hour prior to the service. The Reverends Stephen S. Willing and Sumner Jones officiated. Interment followed in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
