N. Donald Lewis

FAIR HILL - N. Donald "Bud" Lewis passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born in Cambridge, on Sept. 26, 1942, he was the son of the late Norris O. and Eastland Moore Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was a graduate of South Dorchester High School, Cambridge. Following graduation, he worked alongside his father on the skipjack, Elsworth, and as owner/operator of Lewis Seafood. He retired from Cecil Community College as an instructor in the Truck Driver Training Program, continuing on a part-time basis after retirement. Mr. Lewis was a 33rd Degree Mason and enjoyed hunting and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sherry Howes Lewis; children, Donald S. Lewis (Lorelie), Bethel, Del., James S. Lewis (Jeni), Hurlock, and Rachael A. Battaglia (Anthony), Modesto, Calif.; sisters, Dorothy Shortall, Carolyn Harvel, Sharon Prahl (Richard), and Doris Carol Meekins (Bruce); grandchildren, Chase, Tanner, Courtney, Amber, Corporal Austin Lewis, Isabella, Zachary, Nicholas, and Chloe; and a great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Doris Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald Lewis and Owen Lewis; and brother-in-law, Raymond Harvel.
Funeral service and visitation were held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
In lieu of flowers and to assist the family with funeral expenses, contributions may be made payable to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A., in care of the above address.
