Mildred Seaman Collins

Mildred Seaman Collins, 93

HURLOCK - Mildred Seaman Collins, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. She was 93. Born Sept. 23, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Michael Seaman and Mary Ischer Seaman. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, and gardening, but most of all enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles games on television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Elmer "Junior" Collins Jr., who died on March 30, 2005; a granddaughter, Deana Collins; three brothers, John Seaman, Adolph Seaman, and Frederick Seaman; and a sister, Bertha Dietrich. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy C. Jones and her husband Sonny, of Hurlock, and Doris C. Thomas and her husband Wilbur, of East New Market; two sons, Alan B. Collins and his wife Mary, of Hurlock, and James P. Collins and his wife Doris, of Seaford; six grandchildren, Donna Schnoor, Robin Hughes, Aaron Thomas, Troy Thomas, Debbie Collins, and Tony Collins; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Delmer Willey will officiate. Burial will follow in Choptank Cemetery.
