Mildred M. Lasick

FRUITLAND - Mildred Marie Brittain Lasick died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Abbey Manor Assisted Living in Elkton, Md. Born in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Ira Exie John Brittain and Almeda Pearl Edwards Brittain.
She was extremely proud to be the first woman lieutenant in Prince George's County, Md., Sherriff's Department.
Her husband, Walter Lasick, died in 2015. They were married for 69 years.
She is survived by four children, Waltera McCall of Chambersburg, Pa., Carol Marie Wagner of Matthews, N.C., Mary Pearl Lane of Fruitland and John Albert Lasick of Bowie, Md.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Mae Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was in Springhill Memory Gardens.
