Michael R. Bradley, 33 OXFORD - Michael R. Bradley, of Oxford, departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008. He was 33. Born in Easton, on July 11, 1975, he was the younger of two children born to William J. III and Linda A. Bradley. Mike was a graduate of Severn High School in Severna Park and Salisbury University where he earned a bachelor's in business. Beyond work, Mike dedicated much of his personal time coaching youth sports and making a difference in the lives of teenagers in the area. Known for his natural ability to motivate and instruct, Coach Mike was a player's coach who rarely raised his voice, but always maintained the respect and attention of his kids. Mike's team's were largely successful; but regardless of the win-loss record, his focus remained on teaching the habits of hard work and discipline which he knew were the important lessons his players would carry forward. Whether teaching the fundamentals to youngsters in little league baseball and pop warner football or instructing more advanced techniques to young men on high school and summer travel teams, Mike loved to work with kids. So much that he recently changed his career to teaching in order to carry out his passion daily. Mike was a great coach, a better man, and based on the number of young lives he had already positively affected, bound to be a phenomenal teacher. Coach Mike will be dearly missed by his family, many close friends, and his players. Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, William J. "Duck" Bradley Jr. and E. Elizabeth Bradley, formerly of Oxford, as well as his uncle, H. Lee Trego, formerly of Hurlock. He is survived by his parents, William J. "Turk" Bradley III and Linda A. Bradley of Oxford; his brother and sister-in-law, Lt. Col (USAF) Benjamin L. Bradley and Darlene M. Bradley currently of Sumter, S.C.; his nieces Emma and Abigail Bradley; and his grandparents, Howard and Ruth Trego of Secretary. He also leaves behind Brent and Nancy Bradley of Trappe; Paul and Selinda Kelly of Lakeland, Fla; Jack and Doreen Trego of Secretary; Frank and Terri Trego of Hurlock; Mark and Dawn Trego of Hurlock; as well as a large number of cousins and friends. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, in the Church of God, 1009 N. Washington Street, Easton. Burial will be private.
