Robinson, 72 CAMBRIDGE - Melvin Henry Robinson departed this life on March 16, 2013 at his home. Melvin leaves to cherish his memory, Eula Travers, a special friend whom he chose to care for him during his illness; five sisters, Rosanna Burgess (Durham, N.C.), Barbara Coleman, Jurena Burgess, Blanche Burgess and Hester Burgess (all of Newport News, Va.); two brothers, Roosevelt Burgess Jr. and Theodore Burgess (Newport News, Va.); four stepchildren whom he accepted as his own, Cecilia Denise Fletcher, Montoya Murry and Angela Haynes (all of Cambridge, Md.) and Drexel Nelson (Washington, D.C.); a special niece whom he called his daughter, Rose Bailey (Baltimore, Md.) and his favorite niece and nephew, Susie and Lavelle Ausberry (Newport News, Va.); and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. Luke UM Church, 712 Bradley Ave., Cambridge, with a viewing Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the church with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment in Bethel Cemetery. Condolences sent to www.henryfuneralhomepa.com.
