CAMBRIDGE - Mary Yandrofski, 91, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008.

She was born in New York City on June 14, 1916, and was a daughter of the late Michael and Pauline Walko Shostak.

She attended school in Pennsylvania. On June 16, 1933, she was married to Joseph E. Yandrofski. Mr. Yandrofski passed away on Oct. 13, 1982.

Some years ago she had worked in the knitting mills in Hazleton, Pa., as a sewing machine operator. Mrs. Yandrofski had made her home in Cambridge for the past nine years. She had been in failing health for several years.

Survivors include a son, Joseph M. Yandrofski of Littleton, Colo.; one brother, Andrew Shostak of York, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Evangeline Moore; one brother, John Shostak and three sisters, Ann Majhrovich, Rose Nevick and Eva Tomkievich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Transfiguration Church, 213 W. Green St., West Hazleton, PA 18202 with Father Mark Balczeniuk officiating. Burial will follow at the Transfiguration Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
