SALISBURY - Mary D. Baldwin died Dec. 15, 2017. Born in Baltimore, she a daughter of the late Fielder and Mae Ireland.
She worked at Farm Credit and Delmarva Power & Light Co. She was also one of the first "weather girls" on WBOC-TV during the early 1960s. After retirement, she and her husband opened the Bomar Gift Nook at 45th Street Village in Ocean City, which they operated for the next two decades. Her husband, Robert G. Baldwin Jr., died May 9, 2016, at the age of 88.
She is survived by her son, Robert M. Baldwin of Salisbury; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her immediate family of siblings all passed before her and include the late Thomas Ireland, Marguerite Cole, John Ireland, Ella Mae Hoover and Robert Ireland.
She and her husband were preceded in death by their daughter, Pam Lowe of Hebron.
The date of a joint celebration of the couple's lives will be announced as soon as available. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
