SHARPTOWN - Mary Bradley Culver died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Calco Assisted Living in Quantico. Born in Sharptown, she was a daughter of the late George F. Bradley and Ruth Windsor Bradley. She spent her entire life in Sharptown as a devoted wife and mother. For many years she worked as a seamstress for the garment company in Sharptown. She became a fixture in town as she could often be found gardening and maintaining the yard and sidewalks around her house. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Asbury United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Culver; her son, Kenneth Culver; three brothers, Claude Bradley, Donald Bradley and Edward Bradley; and four sisters, Elizabeth Carey, Frances Philips, Edith LeCates and Velda Shockley. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth C. McCann; a daughter-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends was held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Firemen's Cemetery in Sharptown.
