SALISBURY - Mary A. Henderson died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Miami, Fla., she was a daughter of John and Sarah Vlad. She also worked at Verizon and Signs by Tomorrow. She also enjoyed helping others, especially through her work with Women Supporting Women. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Shatus. She is survived by her mother, Sarah; husband, Michael Henderson, of Salisbury; two sons, Christopher Davenport, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jeffery Davenport, of Salisbury; a grandson; two stepsons, Joshua and Mathew Henderson, of New Jersey; and three brothers, Ralph, of Miami, Fla., Richard, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Johnny Vlad, of Islamorada, Fla. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Community of Joy, 302 South Boulevard in Salisbury. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
