SALISBURY - Martha "Marty" N. Smith died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017. Born in Sykesville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Clara Bennett Christian.
She retired from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with more than 37 years of service in the Human Resources Department.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Smith of Salisbury; a daughter, Sharon "Sherry" Smith Pomeroy of Nashville, Tenn.; a grandson; siblings, Robert F. Christian of Rogersville, Tenn., Bonnie Malchow and Betty Turner, both of Florida; and Helen Wyatt of Rogersville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Holland; and brothers, Jimmy Christian and Edward Christian.
A funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment will be private.
