Marshall Baldwin Moore SALISBURY - Marshall Baldwin Moore passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2010, at his residence in western Dorchester County. Born in 1953, he was the son of Marshall W. Moore and Ruth B. Moore. He grew up in Salisbury, graduated from James M. Bennett High School in 1971, and then attended Wesley College for one year before transferring to Salisbury State College (as it was then called). He graduated from Salisbury State in 1976. Following graduation, he owned and operated several Beverage Barns with partner Mike Abercrombie,. He later owned and operated an automobile business known as Delmarva Imports. Thereafter, he entered the real estate business and worked for Long and Foster with a special emphasis on buying, rehabilitating, and selling houses. He is survived by three daughters, Lindsay Adams Moore, Lisa Anne Moore, and Jennifer Margie Moore, as well as his parents named above, a sister and brother, Clary Moore Jackson and David W. Moore; a niece, Lauren Moore Holland and two nephews, Devin Burnett Holland and Alexander David Moore. He is also survived by a former wife and the mother of his children, Carolyn Adams Chandler, and by another former wife Melinda Marie Walters. Marshall made friends easily and will be remembered for his ready smile, quick wit, and charming disposition. He was a devoted father. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid boater, car enthusiast, and dog lover. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 14, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1401 Camden Avenue, in Salisbury. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 162 Prince George St., Annapolis, MD 21401; or to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
