Marion Baptist has special service for back to school on July 30

Posted

MARION — On Sunday evening, July 30th at 7 p.m. Marion Baptist Church will host a special service to pray for the upcoming school year in Somerset County. This service is considered part of the Crisfield Area Ministerial Association which is being held in conjunction with another important ministry to our local schools.

Faith Fellowship Assemblies of God for the past number of years has provided back to school backpacks to families in need to provide some basic supplies for their children. This year Faith Fellowship offered the Crisfield Area Ministerial Association churches an opportunity to participate in this ministry with them. This includes the following ways to help: (1) Financially (2) Packing the backpacks (Saturday, July 29) (3) Praying for the backpacks (Sunday evening July 30) (4) Distribution of backpacks.

If your church has Sunday evening services then please remember to pray for the backpacks and schools in our county during that service. If your church does not hold evening services the Marion Baptist Church welcomes you this Sunday evening at 7 in a joint service with other Crisfield Area Ministerial Association churches.

For more information about the service please contact Pastor Joe Barnes at 410-623-3306 and for more information about backpacks please contact Ashlie Marshall at 410-968-2069. Both these numbers will be answered by an answering machine so please leave name and number so that we can call back as soon as possible to answer your questions.
