SALISBURY - Margaret "Peg" Whedbee Hales died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center from the complications of a stroke. Born in East New Market, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John H. Whedbee and Helen Gregg Whedbee. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Hales, who died Nov. 30, 2000. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William H. Whedbee and J. Gregg Whedbee, both of whom died in 1994, and two younger siblings who died in early childhood; and a stepson, William T. Hales of Salisbury. She is survived by two daughters, Pat Judson of Fruitland, Nancy Revelle of Pinehurst, N.C.; a granddaughter; three great-grandsons; four step-granddaughters; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held Monday, Sept 25, 2017, at Springhill Memory Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
