Margaret Elaine Ott, 63

HEBRON - Margaret Elaine (McMurray) Ott, 63, died suddenly at home, Sunday, May 18, 2008.

She was born in Orange, N.J., the daughter of the late Charles Augustus McMurray II and Elaine (McDonnell) McMurray.

She grew up in West Caldwell, and graduated from James Caldwell High School and Newark School of Fine Arts. She raised her family in Howell, NJ, and later moved to Little Egg Harbor, N.J. before moving to Hebron in 2003.

Margaret was an accomplished watercolor artist and art teacher. She taught workshops in various locations in New Jersey, and at the Art Institute & Gallery in Salisbury and the Dorchester Arts Center in Cambridge.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, C. Michael Ott; three daughters; Christine Ott and son-in-law, Glen Cullen of Trenton, NJ, Karen Arena of Manalapan, N.J., and Jennifer Graga and son-in-law, Richard, of Farmingdale, N.J. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Eric Arena and Richie, Michael, Megan, Aaron, and Emma Graga; her mother-in-law, Catherine Ott of Denville, N.J.; three brothers and a sister; 10 nieces and nephews, and her "adopted" Maryland family, Chris, Maddy, and Solange Perdue.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Catherine Cullen

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
