Salisbury - Margaret Barnard Speights died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Anchorage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury. Born in Salina Cruz, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late, William D. and Hilda Soderberg Barnard. Her husband, Thomas B. Speights died in 1987. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk. She was a clerk at Talbot Shipping and Lambert's Point Docks both in Norfolk. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Katharine Isabel Gore and Frances Barnard Spencer. She is survived by three nephews: Dr. R. Joseph Gore Jr. of Salisbury, William V. Gore of Salisbury and Robert N. Spencer of Narbarth, Pa., and a niece. A memorial service will be held Saturday. A burial will be held at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. Arrangements were in Care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
