SALISBURY — Leadership recognition awards were recently presented to U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski and Margaret A. “Peggy” Bradford, MAC Inc. executive director.

The presentations were made during the 2016 Living Well Evidenced-Based Training Academy, held in Annapolis and presented by Maryland’s Living Well Center of Excellence (LWCE), a program of MAC.

The goal of the academy was integrating chronic disease self-management and falls prevention education into health care systems throughout Maryland. Mikulski was honored for her longtime support of falls prevention programs throughout the state.

In addition, Bradford was recognized for her leadership and support of the LWCE, and in honor of her retirement, Sept. 30.

A dinner to honor Bradford is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Salisbury University. For tickets and more information, call 40-742-0505, ext. 118. The ticket deadline is Sept. 14.
