Mabel Cleo Painter, 96

SALISBURY - Mabel Cleo Painter, 96, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Salisbury Genesis Elder Care in Salisbury.

Born in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Daniel and Ester Louise (Dooley) Honaker.

While living in West Virginia Mrs. Painter worked n the textile industry. She and her late husband, William B. Painter moved to Salisbury in 1994 and attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church until she went to live at Salisbury Genesis Elder Care.

She is survived by one son, the Rev. Buford E. Painter and his wife, Mildred of Salisbury; a brother, William Douglas Honaker and his wife, Kitty of Peoria, Ariz. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Walton Scott Honaker, Jessie Mae Honaker, Frederick Leroy Honaker, Carl Raymond Honaker, Earl Hamilton Honaker and Ethel Virginia Honaker.

A private service will be held at a later date at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Bluefield, W.Va.
