Lula Beal Early

Lula 'Nanny' Beal Early, 93

SALISBURY - Lula "Nanny" Beal Early, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008. She was 93. She was born in Rogersville, Tenn., on May 21, 1915, a daughter of the late Allie Owens and Stephen Riley Early. Lula was married in 1934 to the late Thomas Early, who died May 20, 1967. Lula was a long time resident of Annapolis, where she worked as a waitress for many years. Lula was a resident of Washington County for 14 years. Lula enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, talking with friends and listening to country music. She is survived by one brother, Buster Davenport; two children, Ruby Younker, of Crocheron, and Keneth Early, of Bridgeville, Del.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 12 p.m. in the John M. Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Annapolis. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the services.
