Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program has new Call Center hours

SNOW HILL The Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program’s call center hours will be extended throughout open enrollment for Maryland Health Connection, November 15, 2014 – February 15, 2015. The new hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The local call center provides one-on-one help for residents of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties applying for health insurance through the state’s marketplace, Maryland Health Connection. The number is 855-445-5540.

Consumers can also enroll online starting November 19 using the all-new MarylandHealthConnection.gov.

About the Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program: The Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program is administered through the Worcester County Health Department and funded by a grant through the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. The program helps to educate, determine eligibility and enroll uninsured and underinsured residents of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties into private health plans or Medicaid.
