Lottie B. Neill

DELMAR - Lottie B. Neill died Mon., Jun. 8, 2015, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Bowden and Marie Layfield Bowden. She worked 45 years as a devoted and skilled presser at the Manhattan Shirt Factory. She was a long time member of the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Delmar VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by four children, Ginger Scott, Donna Bennett, Harry Neill and Charlotte Neill Melvin; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, Nettie Thomas Timmons, Ernest Bowden, Roland Bowden and Carrie Bradford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Neill; a grandson; a great-grandson; and brothers and sisters, Thomas, John, Irene, Virginia, June, Marylee, Mildred and Anna. A funeral service was held on Fri., Jun. 12, 2015, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment followed at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
