CAMBRIDGE - Lois "Jeanie" Jones went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2011, with her family by her side. She was 65. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Otis S. Conaway Jr. and May Addline Conaway. Lois was a faithful member of Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge. Lois served as the President of the Usher Board. She also was a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Golden Circle. Lois was a member of the Delmarva Usher Association. She spent her Sunday's traveling to the Usher Day services at various Church's. Lois was married to the late James Allen Jones Sr. from this union five children were born. Lois is survived by one daughter, Sharon Butts of Salisbury; one son, Percy Jones (Tina); three grandchildren, Karen, DeVon and DeVaughn, all of Salisbury; one grea-grandson, Kai'Mere Jones-Dashiell of Salisbury; one brother, Reginald Conaway (Maria); and three sisters, Williemina Rideout, Catherine Pennington (Johnny), Mabel Lewis (Sander). She is also survived by two aunts, Frances Gilbert and Elizabeth Chase. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr.; three children, James Jr., Kim and Emory. She was preceded in death by one sister, Georgia Stanley; and two brothers, Rudolph Jackson and Otis Conaway III. A Celebration of Life of will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, at Refuge Temple Church of God in Cambridge, Md. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church. Interment will be in Reid's Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Cambridge, Md.
