SALISBURY - Lloyd Ashley (Harris, Sr.) Brubaker, 88, of Salisbury, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Atria Assisted Living. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Henry Lloyd Ashley Brubaker and Mary Catherine Harris Brubaker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and the Maryland National Guard. He owned and operated a floor covering business known as Lloyd's Carpet Service for over 60 years and was a member of the Maryland Drum and Bugle Corp. He and his wife served as pastors, missionaries and in the music ministry throughout Delmarva. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pearl Louise Foskey Harris-Brubaker; two children, Allen Harris of Federalsburg and Jo Sue Louise Stone of Pittsboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Travers of Salisbury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Ashley Harris Jr.; and a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Savage, both in 2016. A memorial service was held Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Inurnment will be private at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
