DELMAR - Linda K. Jones died at her home on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born in Arlington, Texas, she was a daughter of James F. Poole of Delmar and the late Peggy Sims Poole. She attended Wicomico High School and enjoyed a 34-year career in banking, working her way up to Executive Vice President at M&T Bank. She was active in the Delmar community, where she served as Past President of the Delmar Chamber of Commerce, an honorary Delmar Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary member and a recipient of the Delmar Citizen of the Year honor. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Manson Jones; Michelle Edwards of Reedville, Va., Joey Hastings of Emmaus, Pa., and Manda Ruark of Salisbury; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Jim Poole of Phoenix, Ariz., and Matthew Poole of Willards; and a niece. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Parsonsburg. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
