LINKWOOD - Lillie T. Warfield, 84, of Linkwood passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at her home. She was born in Andrews on Oct. 12, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Ollie and Rosie Abbott Mills. Mrs. Warfield attended schools in Dorchester County. On Nov. 30, 1996, she married William Leroy Warfield, Jr., who passed away on Jan. 28, 2006. She was a meter maid for the City of Cambridge and she also had various other jobs. She enjoyed picking crabs. Mrs. Warfield was a member of Elliott's Island United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Nina Rogers of Linkwood; five grandchildren, John L. Gray, Jr., William L. Gray, Michael Wingate, Tammy Sue Gray and Kathy L. Wingate; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Thomas of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Warfield is preceded in death by a daughter, Lillie Mae Gray; a great-granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Ruark; three sisters and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Chuck Willey, John Gray, Jr., William Gray, Michael Wingate, and Gary Westbrook. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at 12 noon at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
