SALISBURY - Lillie B. "Lil" Anderson died Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at John B. Parsons Home in Salisbury. Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late James and Maggie L. Chester Pinder. She was a graduate of the former St. Clair High School in Cambridge and was employed as a Histologist for the former Peninsula General Hospital. A member of the Wesley Temple United Methodist Church, she had served as president of the United Methodist Women, as wells as on several committees and in multiple programs. Her civic involvement included volunteer with the Election Board and former Boy Scout Den Mother. Her husband, Russell Anderson, preceded her in death. Her survivors include five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Two sons, Lionel and Lowell Brown; and 13 siblings, preceded her in death. Arrangements are in the care of Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury, where friends may view one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
