Leroy White

SALISBURY - Leroy White, Sr., died Monday, Apr. 10, 2017, at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lucille White and Hilton White.
He graduated in 1948 from the Salisbury Colored High School. He served in the U.S. Army, in places such as Korea and Germany. He was employed numerous years by Sheraton Hotel and various other places.
In 1962, he married Daisey Charmaine Camper White, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, where he served as a member on the Trustee Board, Usher Board, Voices United, Charge Men's Choir, and also a member of VFW Post 10159.
He is survived by his children, Antoinette, Archie, Pamela and Yvette White, all of Salisbury, Leroy White, Jr., of Willards and Hilton White, of Princess Anne; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, Apr. 17, 2017, at Friendship United Methodist Church in Quantico. Arrangements are in the care of Stewart Funeral Home by Holloway and Downey in West Road Salisbury.
