SALISBURY - Lelia Lee Winslow Senter died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at the home of her daughter. Born in Perquimans County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Allen Winslow and Atlessa Leanna Winslow. She was a graduate of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and also received a Bachelor of Art's Degree with a Masters in Elementary Education from the East Carolina College in Greenville. She was an elementary school teacher in Lake Wales, Fla. She played piano and taught Sunday School at Delmar Wesleyan Church for over 30 years and worked in substitute teaching in Salisbury. She served alongside her late husband, the Rev. Graham Franklin Senter, who was an Ordained Elder of the Wesleyan Church. She is survived by three daughters, Marilee Senter Wells, of Oak Hills, Calif., Lelia Natalie Cavaleri, of Fruitland and Malindie Lee Kirby, of Delmar; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Marshall Allen Winslow, of Virginia Beach, Va. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation beginning at 4 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at the Bagley Swamp Cemetery in Hertford, N.C.
